LBA Woods Trail Improvements

Man walking trail in LBA woods

Help us improve the trails at LBA Woods

Do you enjoy exploring the trails in LBA Woods? Have you ever gotten lost or turned around and didn't know which direction to go? If so, this is your opportunity to help improve the trail network.

When LBA Woods was purchased by the City of Olympia in 2017, an extensive trail system had already been established by neighbors and visitors over many years. The majority of these trails have not been improved and we want to hear what trail improvements you'd like to see.

The goals for this project:

  • Add structure to the existing trail network (define trails, establish hierarchy)
  • Add missing connections to make the trail network more cohesive
  • Add trail signage to help with wayfinding
  • Improve access to and through the park from surrounding neighborhoods

Tell us what you think

You can use the following tools to share your input:

  • Survey: Answer a few short questions about your current usage and desires for the trail network. The survey will close October 20, 2019.
  • Map Notes: Add site specific ideas/opportunities and concerns/issues to an online map.

What's next?

After this public feedback has been reviewed, a concept plan will be created and the public will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the plan. The public meeting is planned for November 2019 to discuss the concept plan and any recommended changes - day/time to be determined.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this process. We looking forward to seeing your ideas.

If there are any comments you'd like to add directly to a digital map, you can do that here. There are two pin options:

  • Green pins for ideas and opportunities

Each pin will need to be dropped within the yellow boundary box on the map. Each placed pin will require you to submit a comment. Please provide a clear description of what you'd like to highlight in that area.

Note: Your screen name will appear under your comment so your idea will be attributed to you publicly. You can check back in to see...
