City Council to vote on ordinance to establish new Commission
On Nov. 9, the City Council will consider the Work Group’s recommendations and vote on an ordinance amendment to establish an eleven-member commission.

Following Council’s approval to establish the new Social Justice & Equity Commission, recruitment will begin for the first eleven members. The application period will run from Nov. 15, 2021-Jan. 14, 2022. The City Council’s General Government Committee will interview and recommend candidates to the City Council for appointment. New Commission members will begin their term on April 1, 2022.
